This Sunday, the 2012 NAIAS Detroit Auto Show which was held at the COBO Center in Detroit, MI came to a close. With over 770,000 people attending the show this year, this was the highest total since 2005 and those attendees definitely got their money's worth.

At Fields Motorcars, we put together some of our favorite Mercedes-Benz models on display at the Detroit Auto Show:

2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550

The show-stopper at the Mercedes-Benz exhibit was no doubt the 2013 SL550.The sixth-generation SL continues its 60-year legacy by combining performance with unsurpassed style and elegance.

In and around Orlando,Mercedes-Benz fans know it has been over 11 years since the last SL model was introduced. From what we can tell, the wait was certainly worth it and we will be awaiting its arrival at our Fields Motorcars showroom.

This time around, the SL550 has a 90% aluminum body, and a sleeker and more aggressive styling. Chrome-trimmed vents, the prominent Mercedes-Benz start on the grille, as well as LED daytime headlamps stand out on this model.

In Orlando, Mercedes-Benz fans will love the Magic Sky Control feature that allows you with the push of a button to change the opacity of your sunroof from light and dark. Under the hood, 4.6-liter direct-injected, V-8 engine has 12 % more power than the maker's previous V-8 engine.

The 2013 SL550 will be arriving in U.S. showrooms this spring, so be sure to check in with Fields Motorcars for the latest information.

2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Another Mercedes-Benz model that turned heads in Detroit was the 2013 E-Class, specifically the E400 Hybrid.

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz E400 hybrid will get 24 mpg city/31 mpg highway for a combined 27 mpg rating. Once it hits showrooms later this year, it will be the most fuel-efficient E-Class available in the U.S. And with gas prices already at an all-time high, this fuel economy is sure to be welcome.
