The study, J.D. Power 2012 Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study assessed driver satisfaction among over 14,000 drivers in Germany via an online survey assessing the quality and reliability of their cars. Survey-takers had to have driven their car for at least two years. In and around Orlando,Mercedes-Benz drivers will be impressed that over 79 vehicle models, from 25 manufacturers were assessed in the surveys.
Driver satisfaction was calculated based on the four following components:
- Service
- Ownership costs
- Car appeal
- Satisfaction with their vehicle's safety features
Mercedes-Benz won four satisfaction awards. Mercedes-Benz was awarded the overall satisfaction award for a brand, out of over 25 automakers. In and around Orlando, Mercedes-Benz drivers will be excited to hear that some of their favorite vehicles scored the highest in satisfaction scores in their categories. In addition to the overall brand award, three specific model classes received top driver satisfaction awards: the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class was awarded top marks in satisfaction in the Compact Car class, while the C-Class took top honors in the Midsize Premium category. The E-Class earned its first place award in the Executive Luxury Car category.
