Like many drivers, we love the Mercedes-Benz C-Class just the way it is, and the current model year is no exception: from the standard 2013 Mercedes C250 to the high-powered 2013 C63 AMG® performance sedan, there's a lot to love about the C-Class. For drivers in Brandon, Mercedes cars offer an affordable luxury option at a great value. So imagine our excitement when we heard the news that this American favorite will be getting some eco-updates in coming models.

More powertrain options, including hybrid and diesel options, will be on the menu, as well as all-wheel drive. It's exciting to get more variations in a series that's so accessible as an 'entry-level' car, giving American drivers even more to look forward to when shopping for that magical first Mercedes-Benz. We're liking the movement toward hybrid and eco-friendly auto power, and the resulting diversity in available powertrains for drivers. We won't see the next generation of C-Class vehicles until the Detroit Auto Show in January 2014, but you can be sure we'll be keeping up with new developments as they happen!

Mercedes-Benz is already selling C-Class diesel options in Europe, but we haven't seen them over on this side of the pond yet. We may be seeing one of those very powertrains, a 2.1-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine, in the new generation of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Hybrid technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in even luxury brands, as consumer interest in alternative power sources grows.

As your local Mercedes-Benz dealership, we'll be staying on top of these new C-Class developments and will do our best to keep our local drivers informed as well!
