We're not surprised at all to hear that Mercedes-Benz has enjoyed another record-breaking month of sales in April 2013. We're beyond excited for the continued success of Mercedes, and looking forward to what promises to be an eventful second quarter, with the company reporting the highest start for a second quarter ever. With the advent of a new E-Class and continued success of the popular C-Class and M-Class, we're positive that 2013 will be another great year for Mercedes dealers everywhere.

For Mercedes-Benz USA, April sales clocked in at 26,157 units, an increase of 4.4% over the same month last year. Now that it's available in dealerships, we think the redesign of the E-Class for the 2014 model year will draw Mercedes enthusiasts from all over who are eager for an upgraded design and new features. We think the C-Class will continue to attract new Mercedes customers who are looking for something sporty and powerful but also on the ground floor as far as luxury pricing is concerned. From our point of view as Mercedes dealers, it looks like 2013 can only get better!

Mercedes-Benz sales combined with smart and Sprinter Vans put MBUSA at a 10.2% sales increase year over year, and high-end luxury offerings like the S-Class saw their own gains, with the S-Class posting year-over-year growth of 16.4% and the SL-Class with an amazing 275.2% sales increase over 2012.
