With every passing year, automobiles in general get more and more incredible, particularly in the arena of technology, where vehicles of today do not in any way resemble vehicles released even ten or fifteen years ago.  The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the paragon of these advancements, with so much great new technology that Popular Mechanics recently named it tops in "Technical Innovation" for this year's Top 10 Cars for 2014 list.

Popular Mechanics names the S-Class vehicles "arguably the safest" on the road today thanks to a laundry list of incredible advanced safety technologies.  Many of these are things that competitors’ vehicles don't have, which is why this particular automobile was given an accolade for its leadership in that department.

Specifically, Popular Mechanics loves the Magic Body Control in these cars, which utilizes a stereo camera to actually analyze the surface of the road.  Based on what it sees, it can adapt the suspension of the car to almost completely eliminate body movements.  There's also Pedestrian Recognition radar, which detects vehicles, walkers, and other potential hazards and aid the driver if they don't brake hard enough to avoid the hazard.  Finally, the Mercedes-Benz Steering Assist feature was mentioned, as it uses cameras to keep the vehicle in its lane at speeds up to 124 mph, cutting down on accidents related to drowsy driving.

If you're looking for the most technologically-advanced Mercedes-Benz in FL, look no farther than the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.  Popular Mechanics certainly didn't, so why should anyone else?
