We here at Fields Motorcars really try not to make too big a deal about the job we’re doing as sales professionals, but when Mercedes-Benz comes out with a press release like the one they published at the start of this month, we can’t help but be a little proud to be attached to such a successful automotive brand.
The good news from the press release was that Mercedes-Benz just wrapped up its best first quarter in the history of the company, selling an incredible 72,614 units over the course of the first three months of 2014. Nationwide, that represents an increase of 5% from a year ago, and definitely the best first quarter the company has ever had.
A strong March had a lot to do with those huge numbers, as Mercedes-Benz managed to sell 27,401 units last month alone. That represented an 11.2% increase from March of 2013, which is certainly a tremendous momentum-builder as the brand pushes on through for what many hope will be a record-setting year.
Generally speaking, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, C-Class, E-Class and M-Class models have led the charge in this success, with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class topping all models with 6,335 units sold last month, up 58% over the same month a year ago. With great models like these, now is clearly a great time to be a fan of Mercedes-Benz. Florida consumers have definitely played a tremendous role in making these numbers happen, and we certainly hope to continue adding to these totals for the next nine months.
