Anybody who has ever been shopping for a luxury vehicle at their local Mercedes-Benz dealer knows that there's a lot to be gained by bringing home an AMG® performance luxury vehicle. They are some of the most fun cars to drive at our facility, and we have yet to hear of a customer purchasing one and ending up unhappy. They are fantastic automobiles, and they're always in high demand at our dealership.

Well, it's likely that they’re going to be in even higher demand, because Mercedes-Benz recently announced plans to launch an AMG® Sport trim line for existing automobiles that will help bridge the gap between standard Mercedes-Benz models and the full-on AMG® performance models.

What this means is that certain vehicles will have an optional upgrade available that includes lots of really nice upgrades that do a lot of what the AMG® vehicles do, including engine boosts, sportier suspensions and better brakes. All-wheel drive will even be standard in some markets!

Apparently, Mercedes-Benz has been considering expanding the AMG® sub-brand for quite some time, and this sounds like a great way to go about doing that. The first vehicles to feature these new performance packages will debut in Detroit next month, likely starting with the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C450 and 2015 Mercedes-Benz MLC crossover coupe.

Whatever vehicles end up getting this new trim, we're thrilled to have more to offer in terms of performance for diverse budgets. Even better things are coming to Fields Motorcars in 2015, and this one certainly is among them.
