When people think about innovations in automotive technology, they typically assume that it has something to do with infotainment or safety, but technology in cars goes way beyond just the things that consumers are actually able to see.  One instance of this is the Predictive User Experience, which will be featured in upcoming Mercedes-Benz vehicles and should change the way our cars drive forever.

For those that have no idea what the Predictive User Experience is, allow us here at Fields Motorcars to explain; while you’re driving and going about your business as usual, your Mercedes-Benz vehicle is paying attention to trends.  According to a press release, the vehicle analyzes the driver’s “behavior…schedule, tastes, moods and emotions” to create the best driving experience possible.  It also uses GPS to figure out your typical starting point each morning, then cross-references that against your schedule, the weather, the time of day, and several other factors to make recommendations on when you should leave, what route you should take, and how you should drive.

If this sounds like futuristic science fiction, we can’t help but agree with you.  But it’s futuristic science fiction in the best way possible, as it will make driving easier, more comfortable, and more fun than ever before.  Mercedes-Benz wants your car to feel like an “old friend” rather than just a gorgeous hunk of metal, and this will help make that a reality for any of our new inventory that receives this technology in the coming year.  It even transfers to new Mercedes-Benz cars that you buy, making your “old friend” a friend for life, if you so choose.
