Here in the United States, it's easy to imagine that every luxury automobile in circulation has been custom-made for our sensibilities, but we often forget how many of these top-notch automobiles are created and manufactured in other countries by a very diverse cultural group of engineers. U.S. consumers have loved what Mercedes-Benz has done in terms of developing awesomely luxurious cars and SUVs, but so have people in Germany and England and China and everywhere else these vehicles are sold.
As a worldwide brand, the higher-ups at Mercedes-Benz had to have been elated to see the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class receive a nomination for the World Luxury Car of the Year award. Our full-size luxury sedan has always been considered a great pick in the business thanks to undeniable luxury, technological upgrades, smooth ride quality, and strong safety features. But to win an award like the one mentioned above, proves the brand's value across all major automotive markets. All things considered, that's a huge coup for Mercedes-Benz. Obviously, we hope Mercedes-Benz S-Class wins, but it's clearly an honor for their vehicles just to be included among the three finalists for this accolade.
The winner will be chosen by a panel of 69 international judges from 22 countries and will be announced next month at the New York International Auto Show. In the meantime, when it comes to selling vehicles under the banner of Mercedes-Benz, your Florida dealership will use this nomination to further tout the glowing qualities of our vehicles, the S-Class in particular. Here at Fields Motorcars, we certainly hope it does win the World Luxury Car of the Year award because this really is a car (and an automaker) that deserves the recognition.
