When buying a luxury automobile, consumers understandably head into the process with a laundry list of things that the vehicle absolutely must do. If a customer is buying an SUV, for example, he or she is going to want something safe, practical, versatile, powerful, luxurious and technologically advanced because those are all the qualities required of a vehicle in order for it to satisfy its day-to-day duties.
Some SUVs are more than just workhorses, however. Take, for example, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG®, which was recently included in the Kelley Blue Book's list of "10 Most Fun SUVs for 2014." This impressive luxury crossover not only offers all the above qualities, but also boasts an engine that can do some pretty impressive things, prompting KBB.com to call it "a modern-day hot rod that can tow a boat."
The "hot rod" aspect of this vehicle is what we're most impressed with, though, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG® boasts a huge 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine capable of producing an impressive 518 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Those are numbers that people paid a bundle for just a few decades ago, and now it’s just an "oh-by-the-way" feature on one of our most impressive SUVs. That engine, by the way, gets this huge hunk of metal up to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, making fans of Mercedes-Benz in FL extremely excited about the opportunity to own such an entertaining automobile.
Not all SUVs are fun, but this one certainly is. We're glad to see KBB.com include it on their list because it absolutely has earned its spot there.
