While it's easy for dealerships to shrug off negative results from all sorts of different surveys an online review sites, one area where dealerships absolutely do not want to fail is the J.D. Power & Associates Sales Satisfaction Index. This particular survey, which collects data from consumer surveys, rates the overall experience a customer has visiting a particular auto brand's dealerships.
We here at Fields Motorcars were absolutely thrilled to see that for the 2014 survey, Mercedes-Benz finished as the top-scoring automaker in the industry among both luxury and mass market auto brands.
While the work we do here at Fields is only a fraction of what goes into these results, we certainly pride ourselves on putting together a positive dealership experience, and to know that we're a part of the most positive dealership experience in the U.S. matters greatly to us.
When consumers are filling out the surveys that ultimately decide the results of the study, they consider how pleasant the salesperson was, how clean and aesthetically pleasing the facility was, how easy and respectful it was to go through the process of closing the deal on the car itself, and how convenient and affordable the delivery process ended up being.
Mercedes-Benz finished with the top score 761, which was 33 points above its score a year ago. That shows improvement, but thanks to models like the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 and 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA250, we think a lot of that satisfaction has to do with the vehicles, too.
Whatever the reason, we're flattered to have been part of a big year in customer satisfaction, and we're hoping that 2015 is even more promising!
