The whole point of building and selling luxury vehicles is to have American consumers recognize that those vehicles are some of the best automobiles in the country. The auto industry is an arms race, and everybody wants to be the best. Of course, to be called the North American Car or Truck of the Year, a model must first go through the nomination process. That's why we here at Fields Motors, Inc. are very pleased to see that Mercedes-Benz ended up with a shortlist finalist in both categories: the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (in the “car” category) and the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class (in the truck/utility category).

Motor Authority, who organizes these awards, will narrow down the 20 total finalists and name two winners at the Detroit Auto Show in January, but there's still a ways to go before that winner is announced. In the meantime, a panel of over fifty respected automotive journalists will pore over these vehicles in an attempt to decide which ones truly are the best vehicles for American consumers.

When it comes to buying something from Mercedes-Benz, Florida customers aren't typically very picky, but the refined and elegant C-Class sedan and powerful, versatile GLA-Class hatchback are both the kinds of vehicles that get U.S. consumers' hearts pumping. These are vehicles loaded to the brim with luxury, constructed impeccably and powered by smooth, powerful engines.

That, at least in our opinion, is exactly the kind of vehicle that would be named the North American Car or Truck of the Year, and we can't wait until January to find out if one or both of these models took home the prize!
