American consumers have loved SUVS for decades, and while the type of SUV they purchase has changed a bit as gas prices have risen and fallen, they never have stopped buying them. Looking at a luxury SUV like the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, we can understand why, because with all sorts of great utility, up-to-date technologies, advanced safety features and convenient and entertaining creature comforts, it truly is a vehicle that our customers love to drive.
There are, of course, plenty of luxury SUVs available for purchase these days, which was the entire point of Kelley Blue Book putting together a list of what they consider to be the Top 10 Best Luxury SUVs for the 2015 model year, and we here at Fields Motorcars were very pleased to see that the aforementioned GL-Class was one the top-rated vehicles on the list.
Specifically, the GL-Class models are praised for offering lavish features that not all other luxury SUVs provide. Massaging seats are one excellent example, but the high-quality interior materials and easy-to-use infotainment system certainly come into play, too. Even better, the 240-hp V6 turbodiesel engine can tow up to 7,500 pounds and do plenty of dirty work off-road. It's a pretty vehicle to get dirty, but the point is that even if you don't want to, you absolutely could if you needed to.
When it comes to Mercedes-Benz, Florida consumers love the new GL-Class. We're just glad to see that KBB.com also liked it enough to rate it among their top two top luxury SUVs in the industry today.
