The Frankfurt Auto Show is safely in the books, and Mercedes-Benz walked away from the event with a whole lot of really interesting stuff having debuted. In all, the German automaker put forth five new products in Frankfurt this year, all of which are undeniably exciting. Here’s a quick look at the highlights:

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe & Mercedes-AMG® C63 Coupe – There wasn’t a whole lot new in terms of the C-Class, as we already knew it was going to be a sporty and luxurious coupe to be enjoyed by Mercedes-Benz fans the world over, but the AMG® involvement just means that the C-Class will get a much more powerful model for enthusiasts that enjoy a little more pep in their step. The performance version of the vehicle also will get flared wings and wider wheels, which certainly won’t hurt its reputation as an assertive Mercedes-Benz Coupe.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet & Mercedes-AMG® S63 4MATIC® Cabriolet – Arguably the most exciting development from Frankfurt was the debut of the S-Class Cabriolet. People have been waiting for exactly this vehicle for quite some time, so it’s exciting not only to have it, but also to have an AMG® performance variant, as well.

Concept IAA – In-house, Mercedes-Benz calls this vehicle the “Digital Transformer,” as it allows for some manual transformations that change it from a slick, conceptual coupe into a much more aerodynamic and efficient model. It’s not headed for production, but it really does offer some cool new tech.

Some of these will find their way to your friendly neighborhood Mercedes-Benz dealer, and some of them won’t, but either way we here at Fields Motorcars are really excited about what we’re seeing in the future of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Of course, it’s hard to be disappointed after a great auto show like the one in Frankfurt!
