To be perfectly honest, the dedicated sales team at Fields Motorcars gets excited about any Mercedes-Benz release at any auto show, but this particular model is an undeniably special one, thanks in large part to an engine that packs quite a wallop. Specifically, the AMG® 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine under the hood of this vehicle is able to produce upwards of 469 hp, which on its own is pretty impressive, but the C63 S trim does better than that, topping out at 503 hp.
These are really impressive numbers, and that’s a large reason why Mercedes-Benz is marketing this as the sportiest C-Class ever. Of course, there are other reasons it has earned that moniker, including an updated exterior that actually makes the car look sportier than it ever has before. This includes a new flared-out front end that makes for an increased track width and larger performance tires.
Beyond that there are a few other bells and whistles that make this conducive to sportier driving, including a special suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, as well as rear-axle limited-slip differential and AMG® Dynamic Select transmission modes.
It’s bound to be an incredibly fun vehicle to drive, and we
can’t wait to get behind the wheel for test drives. For now, we just have to
wait for the car’s debut in Frankfurt in the next week, which honestly cannot
come soon enough.
