Every year, J.D. Power & Associates puts out their Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, which, not surprisingly, looks at how appealing modern automobiles are in the eyes of consumers. For the 2016 model year study, J.D. Power was extremely kind to Mercedes-Benz, who not only finished in the top three among all automobiles, but also featured a number of individual autos, available now at your Florida Mercedes dealer, that also finished among the top three in their segments.
The average industry APEAL score this year was an 801, which makes the 852 put up by Mercedes-Benz as a brand all the more impressive. That was enough to place the luxury automaker neatly among the top three automakers in terms of consumer appeal, and considering how many Mercedes-Benz models proved elite in their segments, that finish makes a good measure of sense.
Specifically, the Mercedes-Benz CLA (Small Premium Car), Mercedes-Benz GLC (Compact Premium SUV), and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class (Large Premium SUV) all finished among the top three in their segments, providing respectable evidence to support the claim that these are some of the most desirable luxury autos in the industry right now.
Generally speaking, the APEAL Study found this year that vehicles offering advanced safety features were quite a bit more appealing than those that did not provide them. There was a difference of 34 APEAL points between vehicles that offered things like blind spot monitoring and front collision avoidance and vehicles that did not, proving that the Mercedes-Benz suite of safety features is doing its job in making Fields Motorcars customers in Lakeland, FL happy.
We welcome you to test drive any of these “appealing” automobiles at our Mercedes-Benz dealership. Hopefully you’ll join the ranks of happy customers, too!
