There are few things more exciting for fans of Mercedes-Benz cars as a brand than when the automaker comes out with a new Maybach model. As the paragon of luxury and opulence for the brand, these vehicles are true showstoppers.

Over the course of the last week the automaker has issued several teasers aimed at getting fans of the brand amped up for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month, where a new Maybach model is slated to debut.

We first got wind of it here at Fields Motorcars in early August, when Mercedes-Benz first circulated an image of the vehicle through social media. At that point, all we were privy to was a silhouetted sliver of the vehicle’s profile, though it was immediately clear that the luxury car would be a two-door coupe.

In the days that followed, Mercedes-Benz released another image featuring the car’s massive new grille, which features a whole lot of chrome with gorgeous slim headlights and a little Maybach tag at the top of the grille.

Most recently, the model was given a name: Mercedes-Maybach S600L, which makes sense considering the current Mercedes-Maybach S600 is the only offering currently under that sub-brand. It also apparently will have gullwing doors, which of course is every bit as awesome as it sounds.

The Concours d’Elegance will take place on August 21, so we’ll all get our opportunity to see the vehicle in its entirety then. In the meantime, as your Florida Mercedes dealer we’re beyond thrilled to see the Maybach sub-brand thriving again, and we can’t wait to see where Mercedes-Benz expands that lineup in the future.
