There still is an entire month for luxury car dealerships to make a strong December push to pad those year-end sales numbers, but at this point it’s starting to look like all of those efforts may be futile for brands that aren’t Mercedes-Benz. Based on big November sales numbers it certainly looks like they are going to be this year’s best-selling luxury brand after finishing second in total sales in 2014 and 2015.
Just last month, Mercedes-Benz saw sales of its increasingly popular Mercedes GLC SUV triple, while sales of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles also proved to be exceptional, giving the brand a 1.1 percent boost and bringing this month’s total number of vehicle sold to 30,363.
Here at Fields Motorcars in Lakeland, FL, we’re seeing an uptick in SUV sales, in large part because the automaker is offering so many more options at so many more price points. Vehicles like those mentioned above are as great as Mercedes-Benz models have ever been, but they’re also proving to be more affordable at times, which helps more customers fit them into their diverse budgets.
As it stands, Mercedes-Benz heads into December with an 18,000-unit lead over the competition in the luxury auto segment, making it all but impossible for any other automaker to catch up to them. If you’re interested in test-driving any of the great vehicles that helped Mercedes-Benz take back its much-deserved luxury sales crown this year, stop by our dealership anytime and one of our sales associates will be happy to get you behind the wheel. Perhaps you could even help December’s sales push the brand to that victory!
