As hot as crossovers have been over the course of the last five years or so, the idea of purchasing a minivan has been shoved to the back of consumers’ heads into the same part of the brain that houses “dressing like your parents” or “doing the Macarena in public.” Still, while it’s been many years since minivans have been truly relevant on a wide scale, some consumers are turning back to the vehicles as the most spacious and practical option for family needs, and luckily for them Mercedes-Benz is developing a brand new one that could prove to be the most luxurious minivan on the market when everything is all said and done.
The brand-new Mercedes-Benz V-Class Exclusive is the top trim of the new luxury minivans, and it offers nearly all of the same desirable features as the top S-Class model, but with the added bonus of leg room and storage capacity galore.
Designed to seat six people comfortably, the V-Class Exclusive features brushed aluminum trim on the center console, a dashboard covered in leather, air vents with chrome accents and of course nappa leather seats. The 16-speaker sound system comes from Burmester, and the center console sneaks in a mini cooler and cup holders that can be heated and cooled as necessary, while there are USB outlets and an honest-to-goodness 230-volt plug equipped throughout the vehicle for the purpose of charging those all-important electronic devices.
Fans of Mercedes-Benz in Florida would love a vehicle with these features no matter what the exterior shell may be. This is real luxury, and it should be more than enough to bring the idea of minivans back to the forefront of our minds. They’re cool again, folks, and the new V-Class is a big reason why.
