Every year, the good people at The Car Connection name the one vehicle that is officially their “Best Car to Buy”, and the process by which they make that determination is a pretty straightforward one. The editors there just want to make a recommendation as to which automobile really would be the “Best Car to Buy,” so they look at a number of new vehicles, narrow it down to a handful of nominees and then choose a winner.
So far no winner has been named for the 2017 model year batch of vehicles, but The Car Connection did issue their list of nominees. As your Florida Mercedes-Benz dealer, we were very pleased to see here at Fields Motorcars that the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicles were among those nominees. Frankly, we see no reason why the online publication shouldn’t ultimately name it the winner.
“Few cars have the depth of range that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers,” said Andrew Ganz of The Car Connection, adding that it’s the vehicle’s extensive technology that sets it apart from the competition.
This technology includes a Driver Assistance suite of safety features that includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, frontal collision prevention, and even the addition of extra torque when the driver is making crash-evasive maneuvers. The vehicle can park itself, too, for those that hate parallel parking as much as they should.
All of this says nothing about the car’s great looks, creature comforts and strong-performing engine, but those should further factor in to what helps The Car Connection make its decision. Like all Mercedes-Benz models, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class strives to set itself apart from the competition, which is what makes it very possible that it could add one more award to its ever-growing trophy case.
