While the detailed specifics of the partnership still are uncertain, this new product, called “In Car Office,” will at the very least include some level of integration between the vehicle itself and the driver’s Microsoft Exchange calendar account. Among other things, the software will work in conjunction with the infotainment system to automatically offer up turn-by-turn directions to a destination on the calendar when that appointment arrives. It also will offer to call the person on the other end of that meeting or appointment to inform them that you are on your way.
Here at Fields Motorcars, we have to believe there will be more to the final product than that, but at this point the relationship between the two companies still is in its infancy. Expect the first version of this software to find its way into vehicles sold at your Mercedes dealership serving Lakeland, FL in the first half of 2017, though many updates are sure to follow.
In the meantime, Auburndale, FL customers are welcome to come see everything else that our vehicles can do with other advanced technologies any time. Come pay us a visit and one of our sales associates will get you acquainted with these ever-improving infotainment systems!
