Anybody that has ever lost control of their vehicle in slick, rainy conditions knows just how important good tires really are. Entirely too many people drive their vehicles on wheels that are under-inflated, cracked, or balding, and any of those things can be dangerous not just for the people driving but also for the people they are sharing the road with.
Knowing that, we suggest that our Auburndale, FL area customers be aware of these things when they need new tires, and that they head over to Fields Motorcars at their earliest convenience to replace those tires once the need arises.
Of course, upon arrival there are a few things to keep in mind. First and foremost, we strongly recommend purchasing an entire new set of tires when the time comes. We have some customers that attempt to replace two at a time to spread out costs, but this is to the detriment of your automobile. Mercedes-Benz models work better on uniform wheels, both in terms of performance and efficiency, and frankly the kind of damage that out-of-whack tires can do to a vehicle over time can be expensive, too. You may as well spend the money up front.
Also, while getting your tires changed it can be a good time to check on the quality of your spare tire. If it’s ten years old or older, it probably would be a good idea to get that replaced, too.
Whatever you get, make sure you break in your new tires carefully, as some residue from the manufacturing process can linger for the first few hundred miles. Take it especially easy on them at first, and make sure you maintain your tires properly afterward, keeping them inflated with the proper PSI and rotating them as recommended.
Do all of that and your Mercedes E-Class vehicles will hum along like a dream!
