Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz USA announced that it was planning on opening up a Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy for teenager drivers in the U.S. after having much success in the UK.

Later this month, the first Driving Academy in the U.S. is very close to opening its doors in Los Angeles, California.  The final touches are being placed on the curriculum and the teaching facility.

In Orlando, Mercedes-Benz drivers realize that even though they do not have a Driving Academy now, several other locations are planned for the U.S.

Data shows that teenagers are more likely to have a significant car crash during their first year of driving, which is over four times the risk for an adult or an experienced driver.  All one needs to do is turn the daily news on to hear about a tragic car crash, often involving teenagers.

The need for quality driver education is great, and the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy will certainly fill that need. In Orlando, Mercedes C-Class drivers will be thrilled to learn that the curriculum not only meets all requirements of the specific DMV, but also employs the most up to date teaching techniques.

The curriculum involves interactive elements as well as on-line, classroom and on-road training. Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy students will be taught how to become safe drivers through various methods of teaching including: role-playing, case studies, dilemma games, witness accounts, brainstorming and coaches' questions.

In Orlando, Mercedes-Benz fans will also be interested to know that the Academy can customize their programs to provide additional driving instruction based on particular level, and offers on-road, behind the wheel programs for those teens that already have their driving permit.

Mercedes-Benz is planning to announce additional Driving Academy locations in the U.S. and in Orlando, Mercedes C-Class drivers who have teens are hoping that Orlando is next on the list.  We will keep you informed of the latest announcements. Otherwise, be sure to visit: www.mbdrivingacademy.com.
