Over the course of the last few months, we have received quite a few of our new 2014 model year Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and to say that we're very excited about them would be a massive understatement.
Of course, when it comes to brand new vehicles like these, customers tend to want detailed information regarding safety scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, but unfortunately our 2014 model year vehicles haven't been tested by either yet.
So what, exactly, do we tell our customers about safety scores? We tell them that a tremendous number of our 2013 model year vehicles were IIHS Top Safety Picks, and that we'd expect the 2014 model year vehicles, most of which are very similar to their predecessors, to be the same.
Four of our 2013 models were named Top Safety Picks, which means that they earned top marks of "Good" in frontal-offset, side-impact, and roof strength crash tests performed by the IIHS. The Mercedes-Benz models that earned this distinction in the 2013 model year were the 2013 Mercedes-Benz C250, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz ML350, and the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250.
Of course, even without the new versions of these vehicles having received official ratings from the IIHS, we can say that each and every one of our automobiles comes equipped with loads of great standard safety features, including myriad airbags, traction and stability control, and optional advanced safety technologies that will help usher drivers of 2013 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Florida into the next generation of safety tech. The bottom line is that our 2014 model year vehicles are absolutely safe, and it shouldn't be long before we've got the IIHS accolades to prove it.
