If you’ve ever wondered why any company would pay the lofty price necessary to get a commercial aired during the Super Bowl, consider that Super Bowl 50 just a few years ago was viewed by 51 percent of United States homes equipped with a television, and of those homes that actually had their televisions on at the time, 73 percent were tuned into “The Big Game.”

Knowing this, it should come as no surprise that companies want to take advantage of the largest captive television audience of the year. In a world where so many people are simply recording live television to watch later so they can fast-forward through commercials, the Super Bowl is the one event where the ads are half the reason people watch the broadcast. Mercedes-Benz knows this, which is why they’re getting back in on the action for this February’s championship football game.

“We consider it to be the single most important communication channel a marketer can exploit,” said Drew Slaven, VP of Mercedes-Benz USA marketing, and as your local Mercedes-Benz dealer serving Auburndale, FL, it’s hard for us to disagree here at Fields Motorcars.

So far, none of the creative details surrounding the ad have been released, but this will mark the fourth time in the past seven years that the automaker has run a spot during the Super Bowl. The stage is so huge, and so many people are watching, it’s hard to believe they won’t go all-out with something truly memorable to show off the best of Mercedes-Benz for sale right now.

The Super Bowl will air on Sunday, February 5 on FOX, and we already are looking forward to seeing what the Mercedes-Benz brand will come up with!
